Data Center Engineer – Middleware
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Center Middleware Engineer to support, manage, and optimize middleware platforms within a mission-critical data center environment. This role involves ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of middleware components that serve as a bridge between operating systems, applications, and databases in large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain middleware platforms (e.g. WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat)
- Monitor middleware services to ensure optimal performance and uptime
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to application servers, messaging systems, and integration layers
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams on system integration and environment stability
- Implement patches, upgrades, and security configurations according to policy and standards
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of middleware environments
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes
- Ensure alignment with ITIL processes and support 24/7 availability requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience with enterprise middleware technologies in large-scale environments
- Strong understanding of application server architecture, load balancing, and failover mechanisms
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g. Bash, Python) for automation and system maintenance
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and basic networking concepts
- Ability to perform in high-availability and mission-critical environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation
- Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis platforms is a plus
